Educating from a Biblical Worldview
Columbia International University has proudly taken its place among the leading Christian universities and seminaries in America as we adapt with time and technology while staying true to our mission: CIU educates students from a biblical worldview to impact the nations with the message of Christ.
Students can take classes online or on campus. At CIU, we prepare students for ministry, the marketplace and missions, and our students graduate with a professional major along with a major in Bible.
The love of God's word anchors the experience here where we provide students with a foundation that will guide them for the rest of their lives.
CIU began as Columbia Bible School in 1923, providing Bible-based scholarship and inspiration to local workers and future worldwide missionaries alike.
Today, our growing network of 18,000 alumni are serving in 150 countries around the globe teaching, counseling, working in business and community development, and spreading the Word through leading-edge media.
Students come to CIU for small classes taught by professors who bring years of Christ-centered learning and hands-on missionary work from around the globe with them to our location, a serene, 400-acre campus along the Broad River in Columbia, South Carolina.
Undergraduate, Graduate, Seminary Programs
CIU is accredited and offers 21 undergraduate majors that lead to an associate or bachelor’s degree, small classes and the personal and online networking needed to connect our students’ passion for learning and sharing the gospel to where the Lord leads them.
Students can choose from one of five concentrations in the doctor of ministry program, preparing them for scholarly teaching and congregational leadership roles across America and around the world.
