More than 18,000 CIU graduates are working in 150 countries spreading salt and light in the marketplace, mission and ministry.
Their stories are diverse. Each came to CIU for their own reasons — perhaps as undergraduates fresh out of high school, professionals seeking to build their careers, or second-career adults looking to renew meaning and mission in their lives — many have gone on to make an impact on the world in the name of Christ.
Our alumni impact stories are testimonies of how God is using former students to impact the nations with the message of Christ.
April Hatten: After a mission trip to El Salvador changed her career and education plans, April now works to change the lives of incarcerated youth in a South Carolina prison.
Edafe Emamezi: As Bishop of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), Edafe has helped plant 40 churches while working to bring peace through Jesus to a nation torn by strife between Christians, Muslims and other ethnic groups.
Arlene and Steve Richardson: The Richardsons took Appalachian skills and stories to a community of unreached people in Southeast Asia and inspired them to develop a quilt-making business that now employs more than 400 people.
These are just a few testimonies from CIU alumni who have found their calling and are now making their mark in the world.
Meanwhile, our graduates count on CIU Alumni Ministries to stay connected to their alma mater and with each other through an alumni directory and events such as Homecoming. The CIU Job Board assists alumni in finding career opportunities in ministry and the marketplace.
