Opportunities:
  • Seminary preparation: The Biblical Languages major serves as a useful pre-seminary program of study. Some students take this major because they are heading toward pastoral ministry and toward further education at the graduate level. A solid preparation in the languages of the Bible helps them to have a head start toward their future seminary training.

  • Bible translation work: There are approximately 3000 languages in the world that do not have a translation of the Bible. A number of the students in the Biblical Languages program are interested in Bible translation work, in bringing the Word of God to some of the 200 million people who have never had a chance to read it in their own language.

  • Various ministry opportunities: The Biblical Languages program services students who want to be involved in various Christian ministries and who know that they would benefit from further instruction in the Bible as they prepare for those ministries.
