Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL)

Description:

The Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (M.A. TEFL) is designed to prepare professional teachers of English as a foreign language with the knowledge and skills needed to teach in an effective, culturally sensitive way and to prepare graduates to take up leadership roles in the field of teaching English to speakers of other languages in both non-English and English speaking cultures.  Bible co-requisites are given in the CIU Graduate Catalog.

Opportunities: 

Graduates are teaching and administering English language programs in many parts of the world, including North and South America, East and Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Some serve in free-standing English language programs and others in universities. The worldwide demand for English teachers continues to grow; graduates with this degree will find many opportunities to teach all over the world.
