All students taking classes on campus must submit a health form before being cleared to register for classes.
All students are required to have health insurance coverage. Under the federal government's health care law (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act), you must have a plan that qualifies as minimum essential coverage or pay a fee on your next federal tax return. There is no special student exception to the federal requirement to have health insurance. CIU does not provide a student health insurance; the student is responsible to secure his or her own coverage. Coverage is available for US citizens at www.HealthCare.gov and Non-US citizens at www.InternationalStudentInsurance.com.
Undergraduate students attend Connect:CIU (undergraduate orientation). Graduate student orientation varies by location and program.
Residence hall students are required to submit a $100 housing deposit to reserve housing. Students living in the residence halls complete the New Student Housing Survey and review our list of room essentials and prohibited items.
Students wishing to live in Pine View Apartments apply for housing through the Pine View Apartment Office. Contact the Pine View Apartment Office with any questions at email@example.com or (803) 807- 5799.
