Admitted Students

Congratulations on having been accepted to CIU!

Now that you’ve been accepted, we have helpful checklists to ensure a smooth transition to becoming a CIU student.

Undergraduate:

Graduate and Seminary:

MyCIU

When you apply, you will receive access to MyCIU. Once you have been fully accepted, you will receive full student access and will be notified of this change by the Registrar's Office.

Admissions Office

Submit the $100 enrollment deposit. The enrollment deposit is applied toward your first semester's tuition. If conditionally accepted, submit any outstanding requirements (such as final official transcripts) to become fully accepted. Missing requirements show on MyCIU under your Application Progress

Financial Aid Office

If you are applying for financial aid, you follow these steps to ensure you are considered for all aid you may qualify for. Contact the Financial Aid Office with any questions at finaid@ciu.edu or (803) 807- 5036.

Health Form

All students taking classes on campus must submit a health form before being cleared to register for classes.

Health Insurance

All students are required to have health insurance coverage. Under the federal government's health care law (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act), you must have a plan that qualifies as minimum essential coverage or pay a fee on your next federal tax return. There is no special student exception to the federal requirement to have health insurance. CIU does not provide a student health insurance; the student is responsible to secure his or her own coverage. Coverage is available for US citizens at www.HealthCare.gov and Non-US citizens at www.InternationalStudentInsurance.com.

Student Life

Undergraduate students attend Connect:CIU (undergraduate orientation). Graduate student orientation varies by location and program.

Housing

Residence hall students are required to submit the housing deposit of $100 to reserve housing. Students living in the residence halls complete the New Student Housing Survey and review our list of room essentials and prohibited items.

Students wishing to live in Pine View Apartments apply for housing through the Pine View Apartment Office. Contact the Pine View Apartment Office with any questions at pineview@ciu.edu or (803) 807- 5799.
