Bachelor of Science in Media Arts

Why Study Media Arts at CIU?

At Columbia International University, you will learn to apply your passion for the media arts by utilizing the latest technology and a desire to “Communicate Christ Creatively,” the motto of the CIU Communication program. That doesn’t mean you will only learn to create Bible stories. You might do that. But it means you will have a foundation in the Bible and in essential media disciplines that will contribute to your ability to communicate effectively in today’s world. Plus, you will spend 7-10 days in Orlando, Fla. visiting that city’s vast media arts industry including the Disney complex and the media ministries of the mission organizations Pioneers and Wycliffe.

Your Future

At graduation, you will have amassed enough “hands-on” experience in a variety of media arts to assemble an impressive resume, prepared for a career in graphic design, digital photography, Web design and development, video production, or writing.
