Writing Minor

Why minor in Writing?

For many students, a minor in writing provides an avenue where students can express themselves in a variety of genres. It’s a minor designed not just for English majors; the wide variety of classes provide additional coursework in advanced writing for students in any academic discipline.  Strengthen your writing skills in nonfiction and practical writing by taking Creative Nonfiction, Business Writing, Professional Writing, or Writing for the Media.  If you have a creative bent that you would like to develop, we offer Scriptwriting, poetry, and fiction.
