The Career Services office at CIU is your go-to resource for finding a job while you’re on campus or getting your career started after you leave our biblical university and seminary.
Help in Finding Jobs & Careers
The CIU JobBoard is the place to start the search for an on-campus or off-campus job to help with expenses for school, a ministry for your Christian Service Learning (CSL), an internship for your major, a summer job, or your first job after graduation. You will need to create a user ID and password to use the JobBoard.
Would you like to earn money while earning your degree? Part-time student worker positions on campus may be available for eligible degree-seeking students enrolled at least half-time. Look on the CIU JobBoard for job openings in our library, cafeteria, Admissions or Financial Aid offices and other departments.
Numerous job opportunities in and around the Columbia area are also posted on the JobBoard. Most are part time and many pay more than campus jobs. Your own transportation will generally be needed.
When it’s time to graduate, CIU Career Services provides:
- Personal career advising and prayer
- Writing instructions and critiquing for resumes and cover letters
- Tips for job hunting and interviewing
- Referrals to job search databases
- Career fair listings
- A professional career assessment and counseling
Graduate assistantships, which provide scholarship assistance for full-time graduate students, are also available. Candidates for graduate assistantships are selected in the spring prior to the academic year. To apply, contact the Financial Aid Office at 800-777-2227, ext. 5031.
