OPEN LAB
The Student ComputerCenter (SCC Lab) is located on the second floor of the Ridderhof building. There are 25 computers in the open lab available for studentuse. Two of the stations are Internet only and do not require a login. The remaining twenty-three stations are packaged with Microsoft Office 2007, WordPerfect 12, and Paint.net.
There is one video editing station in the lab, which has the capability of transferring analog media to digital formats, DVD authoring, duplication and image editing (Photoshop 7.0).The editing software installed on the station is Pinnnacle Studio 7.0. There are firewire ports. Students are encouraged to bring their own storage devices on which to store their media. There are two stations with scanning capability and four digital card readers.There is also a laptop station outside of the computer classroom along with a printer for those who wish to print from their laptops. Students are given 700 mb of space on the school's server to store assignments. You are also welcome to use your own USB drives.
COMPUTER CLASSROOM
Though the computer classroom is used for workshops and technology classes, it is also available for student use. The classroom offers fifteen stations and eight scanners. Adobe Photoshop Elements is installed on all of the stations. Biblio 8 is installed on eight of the workstations. Accounts are available for current students and alumni ($20 per year). User Application(Adobe Reader required.) CIUOnline Tutorial Student Technology Handbook J Drive Roll Over Request Form (will require CIUOnline username and password) Biblio 8, Bible Works, MS Works 2000 are installed on several stations. These stations are labeled accordingly.
