The Radio Broadcasting curriculum is one that realizes that experienceis an essential companion to academia for a relevant education--especially in the world of radio. Through solid theoretical foundational study and abundant opportunities for hands-on involvement, the radio minor will enable students to work proficiently in radio ministry.
From the technical aspects of high-end radio broadcasting, to the business aspects of running a radio station, to the subtleties of cross-cultural broadcasting, students in this minor will learn how to be a 'roaring lamb' in a secular world.
The classes provide hands on experience in operating radio equipment and preparing programming. The professors are personnel from WMHK, a Christian station located right here on campus. We also have a small on-campus radio station, WCIU, run by radio broadcasting students.
