Description

Columbia International University's Music program is designed for Christian musicians who want to use their talents for God's glory. We teach the basics of music history, conducting, and theory, and give personal instruction in voice, piano, or guitar. We also help students to explore the ministry side of music and to learn how their gifts can be put to use in churches, evangelism, missions, and other settings. You will learn about the great traditions of Christian music, as well as what is going on today in contemporary worship. Through ensembles and an individually designed internship program, students receive hands-on opportunities to sharpen their skills. Our instructors have a broad range of experience in church music, missions, conducting, performance, recording, and composition. At CIU, your professors take a personal interest in your growth as a believer as well as a musician.
