That song by David Crowder Band has been stuck in my head for DAYS. I absolutely love that song, no matter how much it's played. The lyrics are beautifully written - so poetic and they flow together really well.
God reminded me of His love for me during my time with Him the other day and now that I think about it, He has been trying to remind me for quite some time now but I wasn't listening. When I finally went before Him without distractions, it hit me in a very real and genuine way that I really will never forget.
As I read different people's blogs on Tumblr, I am astonished. One girl I follow turns out to be someone I actually know and the person I know of her to be in person is different than the person in that blog. I'm not saying she is fake, but I am saying she is hurting greatly and I really never knew how badly.
It breaks my heart to see people hurting, to see people feel so unloved and unworthy.....I just want to fix it, I just want to tell them it's going to be okay, I want them to experience the power of God's love - how great, how deep, how wonderful His love is.
Something that gets me every time about God's love is that He sent His ONLY Son to die on the cross for our sins.....do you know how painful that was? I cannot even imagine, I really can't. In John 15:13, it says "No man shows greater love than this: That he should lay down his life for his friends."
This is something we should be excited about, something we should cling to and NEVER let go of!
Do you get it?! God loves YOU. He created you in His image and loves you just the way you are.
I really encourage you to listen to the song "How He Loves" by David Crowder Band now....I think it will help bring what I'm trying to say to life.
