Be very careful, then, how you live – not as unwise, but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. –Ephesians 5:15-16
When I got to the window, the cashier greeted me kindly as is typical of Chick-fil-A employees. But the extra twinkle in her eye was explained as she handed me my food and said, “The gentleman in front of you paid for your meal.”
My jaw dropped and I profusely thanked the lady at the window before driving away in shock. I’d heard stories like that before but had never experienced it firsthand.
I have no idea whether the man in front of me is a Christian, but I do know that God used him to encourage me this morning. His generosity reminded me that opportunities to serve others and honor the Lord are all around us; no area of life – not even the drive thru – is off limits.
