Dr. Phyllis Kilbourn is the founder of Rainbows of Hope and Crisis Care Training International, both global ministries of WEC International to children in crisis. She is a child advocate, trauma trainer, and author/editor of a number of handbooks focused on interviews for children in crisis, and has served in Liberia and Kenya with WEC International. She holds a Ph.D. in education from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL., a MA in Christian education from Asbury Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Elementary Education from Trevecca Nazarene. Dr. Kilbourn has taught crisis care training seminars and/or conducted research in many countries across Africa, Eastern Europe, Asia, Latin America and North America. Truly she is one of the most respected pioneers of the children-in-crisis movement.
