Dr. Rhonda Pruitt brings a cross-cultural psychology flavor to the counseling program at Columbia International University. She has served as a missionary for 25 years in Asia and Europe. Out of her experience flows a passion for missions and the care of missionaries who serve globally. Dr. Pruitt is a pioneer in the field of Member Care. She designed and coordinates the first academic training program in Member Care at Columbia International University. Member of “The Global Member Care Conference board”, serving as part of the World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) Missions Commission. Program Coordinator for "Mental Health and Missions Conference" since 2002, the annual training conference for mental health professionals in North America serving the missions community. From 1986-1987 she served as teaching team administrator at the Taiyuan University of Technology in China. She counseled adolescents at Pines Adolescent Treatment Center in Virginia from 1987-1988 and served as an instructor and departmental director for the Japanese Study Program the following year at Limestone College in South Carolina. Overseas, Dr. Pruitt was visiting fellow at Leport Mental Hospital in Hungary from 1990 to 1992. She had a  Member Care private practice serving the missions community in Germany from 1996 to 2001. (She has been)  A missionary with Pentecostal Holiness World Ministries from 1989 to the present providing international missionary care services from 2001 to the present.
