Robert McDole, also known as “Rob,” came to CIU to attain his M.A. in 1998 and began working in the Distance Education department in 2001. Before coming to CIU, Rob worked for years as a pioneer for online education. Today, Rob serves as the Director of the Center for Educational Innovation and Development, a job that requires him to multitask at an impressive level. Rob is responsible for the big picture of CEID—like generating new ideas for a growing field of education and corresponding with faculty and staff to ensure the best learning environment for students—while also making sure we all know what we’re supposed to be doing in our specific roles! Needless to say, Rob stays busy; but when he does get the chance to relax, Rob enjoys playing racquetball (we hear he’s pretty good!) and spending time with his wife and children. He considers his job a blessing because it allows him to make a difference for Christ, and we are truly blessed to work for such a light-hearted, compassionate, and understanding leader.
