Steven M. Hays
Dr. Hays brings over fifteen years experience as a professor in higher education and more than fifteen years experience in leadership, management, health care administration, and business communications to his role as faculty member at Columbia International University. Prior to joining CIU, Dr. Hays served as an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Health Sciences at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia for four years and was an Associate Professor and Program Director of Health Administration at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, NY for ten plus years. He holds the designation of Certified Medical Practice Executive from the American College of Medical Practice Executives, is a Certified Facilitator for Lead Like Jesus, and is a Faculty Evaluator for all branches of the US Military as well as major US corporations such as DAV, McDonalds Corporation, Walt Disney, and Walgreens Drugs through the American Council on Education. In his spare time, Dr. Hays enjoys reading Southern literature, collecting signed first editions of literary fiction, and is a life-long Chicago Cubs fan. He and his wife Karin enjoy spending their free time together in the North Carolina and Great Smoky mountains with their two grown sons, Nathan (and daughter-in-law, Kelsey and granddaughter, Molly-Hope), and Samuel.
