How To Apply
Degree or Certificate Seeking Students:
If you desire to get a Degree or Certificate from CIU, you will need to complete the full application for the appropriate school (College, Seminary, or Graduate). When all of your application materials are reviewed and you are admitted to CIU, you may register for courses. Please click on the apply button below to continue the application process. Students who plan to seek a degree may contact the appropriate Admissions office with questions (Undergraduate, 800-777-2227, ext. 5024; Seminary and Graduate School, 800-777-2227, ext. 5335). Any questions regarding distance learning and online courses can be directed to our office at 800-777-2227, ext. 5710.
Non-degree Seeking Students:
If you are undecided or not planning on getting a degree at CIU, you only need to complete the application and submit official, final transcripts. After your application and transcripts are evaluated, you may be admitted as a Non-degree Seeking student. At that time, you may register for distance edcuation courses, up to a maximum of 12 semester hours. You do not need to complete the essay or submit references unless you decide to pursue additional courses beyond 12 semester hours. Click on the apply button below to continue.
Transient Students:
If you are a student at another University and desire to transfer courses from CIU to your school, please contact the CIU Registrar's office for more information. registrar@ciu.edu 1-803-807-5033.
Audit Students:
If you desire to audit a distance learning course please contact the CIU Registrars office. registrar@ciu.edu 1-803-807-5033
Application Fee:
There is a $ 35.00 application fee for the online form or a $45.00 fee for the paper form.
Transcript Information:
In order to enroll for credit in an undergraduate course, you must hold a high school diploma or equivalent. In order to enroll for credit in a graduate or seminary course, you must hold an accredited undergraduate degree.
An official transcript must be received directly from the academic institution attended. Transcripts received from the student are not acceptable.
