How To Register
You must first complete an application. Once your application, has been approved you will recieve a CIUOnline username, password, and e-mail account.

To purchase materials for your course or for personal enrichment, go directly to the Online Bookstore.
To register for a Distance Learning course (sections EX, DE or DO) please register at www.ciuonline.com or see your academic advisor. Please follow the instructions below to register yourself for distance learning courses:
- Go to www.ciuonline.com and login
- Under the Online Registration menu (right hand side of page) click on 'Student Access'
- Click on 'Set Options' , then choose the program you are in (Seminary, Graduate, or Undergraduate), semester/session (Fall or Spring), and year, then click 'Submit Options'
- Under the Student Information menu (left hand side of page) click on 'Registration Process'
- You are now on the Registration Check-in page. IF you are only taking Distance Learning courses you may ignore the check in notice, and continue to the next step.
- Under the Student Information menu (left hand side of page) click on 'Registration'.
- On the Registration Entry page, type in the Course number (ex. BIB1112), Section (EX, DE, DO), then click on 'Add'.
- Under the Student Information menu click on ' Fee Statement '.
- Select one of the Payment Plans (Online Payment Plan or Online Full Payment) at the bottom of the fee statment or contact accounting at 1-803-807-5069. If you do not make arrangements with Accounting to pay by the Drop/Add deadline you will be dropped from the course(s).

Course Section Definitions:
EX - Distance Learning course taken as part of a semester load and for resident credit. Must be completed by the end of the semester. Assignments must be submitted by the dates in the syllabus or a grade reduction will apply to the assignment.
DE - Distance Learning course taken over additional time, but does not count for resident credit. May be extended six months if 50% of the work is completed by one month before the end of the semester.
DO - An Online course that involves a cohort of students studying at the same time, but not neccessarily in the same place. Enrollment in an online course requires you to commit at least 10 hours to study each week the course runs. Assignments must be submitted by the dates in the syllabus or a grade reduction will apply to the assignment.
