Larry E. Dixon
Systematic Theology
Dr. Larry Dixon, Ph.D., teaches systematic theology in the Seminary & School of Missions.. He came to Columbia in 1997 after serving as professor of biblical and theological studies at Providence College, Manitoba, Canada, for nine years. Before completing his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Dixon and his wife, Linda, went to Germany for short-term service with International Teams. He is the author of several books which focus on making theology accessible to everyone. He has maintained a ministry at conferences, camps, retreats and seminars, averaging 40 to 50 speaking engagements annually. Well known for his sense of humor, Dr. Dixon’s classes make the study of theology and history both lively and practical.

Larry Dixon takes a serious and weighty subject and turns it into an honest and down-to-earth discussion of the practical ways we can find victory over temptation. His humor, poignant illustrations, and solid grasp of theology make for an easy but enlightening read.
