Outside Scholarship SearchesOutside Scholarship Programs- S.C. Student Loan Corporation - - Scholarships from a student loan lender. Open to all students, not just South Carolina residents. Click "1K Giveaway." Deadline: August 14, 2008.
- USA Funds Scholarships - - Student loan lender that is awarding scholarships to various types of students. Click "Scholarship Information," under the Express Links. Scholarship applications can be submitted between December 15, 2007 and February 15, 2008.
- S.C. State Employees Association - - Eligiblity for these scholarships is open to everyone and is based on academic achievement and financial need. Applications are available January 1, 2008 and must be submitted by May 1, 2008.
- The Sallie Mae Fund - - The Sallie Mae Fund includes six different scholarship programs, each with its own eligibity criteria and deadline. Click on "Apply" and browse through the list of scholarships.
- The Fund for Theological Education - - Click "Sitemap" at the bottom of the screen, and then click "Fellowships Plus - Search Financial Aid."
- Presbyterian Church USA - - Presbyterian Church (U.S.A) students have been awarded over 1 million dollars annually.
- The National Religious Music Week Alliance - - Four $2,500 scholarships are awarded to music majors.
- Milatary Chaplains Association - - For students pursuing future ministry as a milatary chaplain.
- Gate's Millennium Scholars - -The purpose of the Gates Millennium Scholars program is to promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding minority students with significant financial need.
- Student Ministries, Inc. - - SMI, a national non-profit organization, provides a way for family, friends, and churches to make tax-deductible contributions to assist ministers-in-training with ministry and living expenses while in seminary.
- ESA Foundation Scholarship - - The ESA Foundation has a list of numerous scholarship opportunities divided by the state in which the applicant resides. Criteria vary depending upon the scholarship. Visit the website for a complete list of scholarships.
- Elder and Leemaur Publishers - - This scholarship is available to current undergraduate students in any field of study and any student in either junior or senior high school. Recipients of the scholarships will be determined based on quality of the 500 word essay submitted. Visit the website for topics and deadlines.
- Bookscholarship.com - - Sign up to win a $1000 scholarship that can be used to pay for your textbooks at any college or educational program of your choice. This program is supported by the company's sponsors, but does not require that you purchase anything or subscribe to any their sponsors' offers to enter.
- AES Engineers Scholarship - - Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. Student must submit a 1000 word essay. The awards are for $500.
- College Prowler - Wachovia Monthly Scholarship - - Have you written an essay for any of your college applications? If so, submit it to the College Prowler - Wachovia Monthly Scholarship and you could win $1,000. Scholarship winners are chosen monthly.
- Free Will Scholarship - - An award of $1000 for the essay that is the most compelling, motivational, inspirational, persuasive, and concise.
- Phillips Foundation Ronald Reagan College Leaders Scholarship Program - - This is a one-year scholarship that will be in the maximum amount of $10,000. Winners will receive the scholarship for their junior year and may apply for renewal before their senior year. Applicants will be asked to submit an essay of 500 to 750 words describing their backgrounds, career objectives and scope of participation in leadership activities promoting freedom, American values and constitutional principles.
- American Assembly for Men in Nursing Scholarship - - Annual awards for male nursing students who are already enrolled in a pre-RN licensure program or graduate degree program in Nursing. Selection based on academic performance and an essay.
- Calgon "Take Me Away" Scholarsweeps - - Whether you're going back to school, just starting out or anywhere in-between, if you're looking for money for a two- or four-year degree or certification through a vocational or technical trade school, enter the Scholarsweeps for your chance to win one of three $500 awards!
- Calgon "Take Me Away" College Scholarship Competition - - Answer 2 essay questions for a chance to win one of three cash prizes.
- The David and Dovetta Wilson Scholarship Fund - - This fund provides 9 scholarships to high school seniors based on their financial need and participation in community and religious activities.
- The Education is Freedom National Scholarship Program - - Annual $2,000 awards for graduating high school seniors that plan to enroll full-time at an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university. Students must be a U.S. resident for at least one year at time of application, and must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Selection is based on financial need, student's activities/leadership, work history and candidate appraisal. Due date and number of awards varies. Renewable.
- Educational Communications Scholarship Foundation "Who's Who Among American High School Students" - - Annual awards for graduating high school seniors. Applicants must be legal residents of the U.S., have taken the SAT or ACT, have a minimum "B" GPA, and should be involved in school or community activities. Students selected for the Who's Who Among American High School Students are automatically eligible. Selection is based on GPA, SAT or ACT score, activities, and financial need. A $4.00 processing fee must be included with application.
- Hispanic College Fund - - Last year the Hispanic College Fund awarded $1.8 million to over 615 students nationwide. HCF Scholars not only benefit from funding, but also from joining a powerful network of HCF Scholars, corporate executives and government leaders vested in developing the next generation of Hispanic professionals. Applications for the 2008-2009 school year will close on March 15, 2008. Applications for the NASA/ MUST Program are available until February 1, 2008.
