The allowance system at CIU provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to demonstrate a life of prayer and faith for our students. Telling someone to trust God for all of your needs is significantly different than providing a live demonstration. The salaries of our full time faculty and staff are partially dependent upon gift income - roughly 17%. The remainder of our salaries and the operating expenses of the school are covered by tuition.
An estate gift that arrived on Thursday eliminated the remaining need for October and made up for one of two previous pay reductions. Praise God.
