MarketingStarting a New JobThis is a fairly easy process, that follows a simple progression: 1. Open the marketing Job Form , and follow the instructions listed on the form (NOTE - it may notify you that the file is locked for editing and ask you if you want to open the file). If you any difficulty, email us at marketing@ciu.edu, or call us at ext.5077. Be prepared to provide general information, due dates, and an account number. 2. The physical job jacket will be created and assigned to a Project Coordinator in the weekly Monday marketing meeting. These jobs will be designated as "new," "new-urgent" or "reprint." as needed. 3. The Project Coordinator will create the electronic job jacket on our marketing drive, and place it on the marketing job list. 4. The Project Coordinator will communicate with the client and collect details on the project. (Project Actual Start) - (5 Days) 5. The Project Cordinator will communicate with production, graphic design and photography, so that proper quotes can be obtained and scheduling can be done. They will then collect all needed elements (graphics, photos, copy, databases files or selects, etc.), then submit the copy for editing to the Communications Coordinator, and the select to database services. Once the copy is approved, the Production Coordinator will sumbit the design to the graphic designer. (10 Days) 8. The coordinator will then proof the job with the client, and redesign as needed until a final proof is produced, then hand the job over to production. (5 Days) 9. The Production Coodinator will have the job printed, posted and/or mailed.(10 Days) - (Total Project 30 Days) 10. As invoices are received from the vendors, the Office Coordinator will "charge the client", by sending an interdepartmental charge slip with the details of the job and a copy of the invoice. |
