Steering Committee

Rev. David Cornelius, African American Mobilization Consultant Church Services Group, Church & Partners Services International Mission Board, SBC. My commitment to the Missions Strategy Seminar at CIU has its root in my commitment to doing what I believe God has called me to do at this point in my life: teaching, training and mobilizing His people to finish the task of reaching the peoples (families, tribes, ethnic groups) of the world with the gospel.
In addition, I see this seminar as an opportunity to help motivate African American Christians to become fully engaged in this venture, a venture for which God has been preparing us since before our forefathers were taken from the shores of Africa.

Pastor J. Julian Dangerfield, Pastor, Leader, Consultant, Speaker and Executive Director of Shalom Outreach Inc., My involvement on the missions strategy committee at CIU has been an exciting undertaking as I have encountered a dynamic team of people who are focused on missions, effective outreach, and the mobilization of African Americans. The small group who serve on the steering committee recognizes the enormous value of combining our efforts to preserve, and advance strategies that will bring racialreconciliation, while exhibiting the oneness that we share in Christ. To that end, I am privilege to be apart of this move of God, and to walk along side people committed to advancing his Kingdom.

Dr. Peggy Rayman, National Director of Training and Mobilization AOF Missions, Inc. I have been part of this movement of mobilizing African Americans to world missions since 1995. I can't think of another way to invest my time, energy and talents that will have as much of a return on my investment as this one. I can't think of a loftier purpose for my life than to work shoulder to shoulder with a body of believers who are intent on finishing the Great Commission so Jesus can return.
As to why I would encourage others to attend this conference, I would say this. I don't know of any other conference that is done on a regular basis that has as much potential for drawing pastors together from many different denominations and across racial lines, as this one. Through Dr. Cashin's humble leadership, I have watched this conference grow, adapt to challenges and still keep the end in view. I am believing there will be much fruit from this effort as more and more pastors realize that their calling is so much greater than just to their own congregations, and simultaneously realize that it is so great that it cannot be accomplished by any one denomination, or any one race of people.

Together we can do much more."
Rev. Gary Ham, Missions Director at Faith Temple Church, in
