High-Security Students

Not all Columbia International University students meet on the main campus. Some of them meet in prison. Qualified inmates are earning an Associate of Arts degree through the CIU Prison Initiative. Headed by professor Dr. David Osterlund, the Prison Initiative is designed to train CIU student-inmates to reach their fellow prisoners with the gospel.
The Prison Initiative recently caught the attention of one of the best-known prison ministries in the world, Prison Fellowship, founded by former Watergate figure Chuck Colson.
