One of the longest-living graduates of Columbia International University went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 29.  Mary Elizabeth “Lib” McMurray was 102 years old.  McMurray was member of the class of 1939 when CIU was known as CBC – Columbia Bible College.

She served as a missionary in New Guinea.  That was at age 65 and after she had retired from her job as a public school teacher in Cabarrus County, N.C.

The Fayetteville Observer newspaper in Fayetteville, N.C. paid tribute to Lib McMurray in an article titled:  “Sunday Salute: Lib McMurray spent her days serving God.”
