Business is Growing for “The Cookie Lady”
What started out as a “side hustle” for a Columbia International University alumna has grown into a full-time business. Marcella Wilson, a 2011 CIU graduate, is now known as “The Cookie Lady” in the Columbia area, delivering her products to over 60 businesses each week, in addition to fulfilling call-in orders.
Wilson also says her business serves a higher purpose. She donates a portion of her profits to a ministry that assists low-income families.
Wilson’s success caught the attention of Carolina Panorama, a local newspaper that named her enterprise “Community Business of the Week.” Read about her success in the article, “Marcella’s Old Skool Cookies & Loaves.”
