February 19, 2018

A Columbia International University Intercultural Studies student is making a difference on behalf of women at the United Nations. Shirin Taber, who is enrolled in CIU’s online M.A. in Muslim Studies program, is director of the Middle East Women’s Leadership Network. She recently led a media strategy session at the U.N. with world leaders who are committed to religious freedom, gender equality and peace building. The goal was a plan of action to prevent cultural and religious-based violence.
