Award-winning Christian recording artist David Crowder will be performing Nov. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Shortess Chapel at Columbia International University as CIU celebrates Homecoming 2016. Crowder’s stop in Columbia is part of his nationwide American Prodigal Tour.

After 12 years fronting the Dove Award-winning David Crowder Band, Crowder embarked on a solo career in 2014. Embraced for his lyrically powerful and musically elaborate songs, his first solo album, “Neon Steeple” hit No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart and the lead single, "I Am," peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Christian Songs chart. Crowder has also penned two books including, “Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven, but Nobody Wants to Die.”

Performing with Crowder at CIU will be Christian rapper Tedashii.
