Good Showing for CIU Rams in First Intercollegiate Cross Country Meet

Columbia International University competed for the first time in school history in intercollegiate cross country at the Eye Opener in Spartanburg, S.C. on Aug. 31.  The Rams men’s and women’s teams both had respectable showings. 

Battling heat and humidity, the men were led by Jack Lewis who ran 33:20 for the 8k (5 mile) races.  The women were led by Annelise Arnold who had a strong 50thplace finish out of 195 runners with a time of 22:04 for the 5k (3.1 mile) course.
