Green Space Expansion at CIU

Green Space Expansion at CIU

Making way for more green at CIU in March.

The old song says, "They paved paradise and put up a parking lot."  At Columbia International University, we're unpaving the parking lot and putting up ... well, OK, it's not paradise.

But as the CIU campus becomes more pedestrian-friendly, it is also becoming greener.  Green space is replacing pavement as parking lots move to the edges of campus.

One example of the new look is near the recently-renovated G. Allen Fleece Library.  The demolition of a parking lot will expand the quad area in front of the library and behind the administration building.
