Ben Lippen High School students taking dual enrollment business classes at Columbia International University showed their appreciation to law enforcement officers and first responders this Christmas season. The students handed out 150 gift bags to sheriff’s deputies and firefighters on Dec. 13 at the Launch! center on the Columbia International University/Ben Lippen campus.

The “Do Good December” event grew out of the students’ participation in the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy. The officers and firefighters enjoyed lunch provided by Chick-fil-A and Panda Express.

The event drew television media attention in Columbia, including FOX affiliate WACH. Check out their report.
