Peru Mission Honors CIU Alumna

April 01, 2011

The legacy of a young, Columbia International University alumna, who died in a traffic accident last year, is being honored by the students who were touched by her short life.

Aimee Powell was a 26-year-old teacher when she died in a head-on collision on her way to work at Southlake Christian Academy in Huntersville, N.C.  The school will pay tribute to Powell’s love for teaching, missions and the country of Peru, when the Southlake senior class begins construction on classrooms in Peru in May.
