Philippines Trip is no Vacation

Brooks Wadsworth

A Columbia International University alumnus is ministering in the aftermath of one of the worst weather-related disasters in modern times. Brooks Wadsworth, a 2002 graduate of CIU’s Intercultural Studies program, is a part of the North Carolina Baptist Disaster Relief team in the Philippines assisting in one of the areas hardest hit by Typhoon Haiyan on Nov. 8.

Wadsworth, the pastor of Roberson (N.C.) First Baptist Church, is assisting with relief efforts, emergency medical situations, and the delivery of water and food. He credits his interest in serving others to the Bible, his mother, and “the heart and passion of his alma mater, Columbia International University.”
