Powerful Focus on Missions at CIU

Henri Aoun of LifeAgape

World Christian Week keynote speaker Henri Aoun

Students in the College of Intercultural Studies are planning a week for the student body to consider The Great Commission during World Christian Week, Feb. 19-22, celebrating CIU’s core value of World Evangelization.

Special events will focus on the theme: “Suffering in God’s Mission: Walking, Ministering, Embracing” based on 2 Corinthians 1:5

“For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.”

The keynote speaker for the week is Henri Aoun, a native of Beirut, Lebanon. For nearly four decades, Aoun has served the Lord in global mission in the Middle East and North Africa. He currently leads the ministry LifeAgape (Cru) for North Africa and the Middle East. World Christian Week Chapel messages begin at 11 a.m. in Shortess Chapel and are open to the public.

Other events for the week include a Prayer Day, and opportunities for students to discuss their future role in World Evangelization with Aoun and dozens of missions agency representatives.
