South Carolina Businessman/Attorney Joins CIU Board of Trustees

Ross M. "Buddy" Lindsay

A businessman and attorney from the Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina has been elected to the Columbia International University Board of Trustees.

Ross M. "Buddy" Lindsay is the owner of Lindsay and Evans CPAs, and with his wife Marie, is an attorney at the Lindsay and Lindsay Law Firm.  Both offices are located in Myrtle Beach.  Lindsay is also involved in a number of other hospitality and tourist-related businesses in the Myrtle Beach area and in other regions of South Carolina.

Lindsay is an alumnus of Columbia International University, earning a Master of Theology degree from CIU in 2003.

In recent years, Lindsay has been at the forefront of starting new churches and other ministries in South Carolina’s coastal region by locating real estate, raising money and planning buildings.

Lindsay credits much of what he has accomplished in ministry to what he learned at CIU.

“As an alumnus of CIU and an ardent supporter of the university, I am honored and excited to serve as a trustee,” Lindsay said.

In addition to his M.A. from CIU, Lindsay’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Presbyterian College in 1972, an Accounting degree from the University of South Carolina in 1975, a law degree from the University of South Carolina in 1975, a Ph.D. in Theology from the London School of Theology in 2006, and a Master of Laws degree from the Cardiff University Law School in Wales in 2007.
