Are You an Alumnus?

The Legacy Grant

Since 1923, Columbia International University has been educating students from a biblical worldview to impact the nations with the message of Christ. Many of our alumni have valued their CIU experience so much, that they have influenced their children and grandchildren to attend their alma mater.

The Legacy Grant was created to assist the children and grandchildren of CIU alumni with the financing of their education at Columbia International University.

Guidelines

1. Columbia International University will award a Legacy Grant of $1,000 per year to any new student who enrolls in CIU’s Undergraduate School, Graduate School, or Seminary & School of Missions and who is the child or grandchild of a CIU alumnus.

2. The student must have a high school GPA of 3.0+ and an SAT score of 950+ or ACT score of 20+ to qualify.

3. The student must complete the FAFSA and the CIU Scholarship Application.

4. The student must meet the admission requirements and be accepted at Columbia International University. Once the student has been accepted, the award will be applied to his or her financial aid account.

5. The student must attend CIU on a full-time basis.

6. The grant is renewable for four years for a student pursuing a bachelor’s degree, for three years for a student pursuing a Master of Divinity degree, for two years for a student pursuing a Master of Arts degree, and for one year for a student pursuing a Biblical Certificate. For renewal, the student must complete the FAFSA annually, meet all community standards, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and remain off of academic and character probation.

7. An alumnus must submit this Legacy Grant form to Columbia International University by August 15 for the fall semester, and by January 15 for the spring semester. Forms received after the deadline will be considered only if funds are available.

8. The grant is based on the availability of funds.
