Quality Enhancement Plan
"Nurturing Spiritual Growth in an Educational Community"
CIU's Quality Enhancement Plan is based on the following presuppositions:
- Students enter CIU with a desire for spiritual transformation,
- CIU's role is spiritual formation, the Spirit's role is spiritual transformation (sanctification). Our contribution is to implement those practices that enhance the opportunities for the Spirit of God to do His work in and through students. Our goal is the students' spiritual transformation.
- Spiritual formation involves the academic curriculum of the university, and the contribution from other aspects of campus life.
- CIU personnel embrace the concept of spiritual transformation that enables them to model trusting and loving God and thus loving and serving others, and
- Spiritual formation involves the total community, culture and lifestyle standards of CIU in order to nurture an environment in which spiritual transformation (the Spirit's work) is free to happen.
