What would you like to do after graduation from CIU? I have started the MAT program and plan on continuing with it until I graduate next May. I desire to teach students and help them grow educationally and spiritually. With my education here at CIU I will be better prepared to speak not only to the child's intellect but also to his heart. Whether in a christian school or a public school, I desire to show my students, teachers, and co-teachers what a life filled with purpose, love, and peace looks like.
What has been your favorite class and why? I thoroughly enjoyed Old Testament Survey. Since I grew up in church, some of the content was review, but the insights the professor brought to the course made this so memorable. Not only were the facts covered, but the professor helped me view the biblical characters in a more realistic manner. This was a fun course and I learned a lot, much of which helped me in other courses.
Why did you choose Columbia International University? I was attracted to the small school aspect. I wanted a close atmosphere between the faculty and students so that their experience and knowledge could help me grow professionally and spiritually.
What do you like best about CIU? The faculty and staff here truly care about you and are passionate about the Lord. This shows in each of their classes. I have enjoyed being able to form relationships with these men and women and have the freedom to ask their advise and views dealing with spiritual or personal issues.
