Individualized Campus Visit

ACADEMIC-YEAR VISITORS
The admissions office is open Monday through Friday from 9AM - 5PM.
We recommend visiting Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday during the academic year as these days offer more class and chapel options. We'll treat you and your guests to lunch on the day of your visit. A traditional visit (including all the below activities) lasts from 9AM until 3PM, but we will work with your schedule if you are unable to visit during these times.
During your visit, you can:
- Take a Campus Tour
- Meet with an Admissions Counselor
- Talk with a Student Financial Services representative
- Participate in our chapel service featuring challenging speakers and dynamic praise and worship
- Sit in on a class that applies to your area of study (with at least one week notice of your visit)
- Meet with a professor in a program that interests you (with at least one week notice of your visit)
Our Campus Visit Coordinator can also arrange overnight housing in the dorms or Grad Houses with one of our student hosts for one night (bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, toiletries, etc). If you would like to schedule an overnight stay, please schedule your visit at least two weeks prior to your visit. A hotel list is available for family members staying overnight in the Columbia area. CIU also provides complimentary airport/bus pickup within Columbia; please provide the details of your arrival/departure to our admissions team two weeks prior to your campus visit.
We will make every effort to accommodate those with special needs or food allergies. If accommodations are needed, please schedule your visit at least 30 days in advance to allow time to collect proper documentation and make the necessary arrangements.
SUMMER VISITORS
Summer visitors are welcome for a campus tour and meetings with admissions and student financial services. Other appointments may be available on a limited basis from May through August.
