The Building Block Approach
For most students, the CBS faculty believes
the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) is the degree program of choice, because
the curriculum affords the most thorough training for ministry leadership.
Nevertheless, the seminary’s Certificate and Master of Arts programs
are both complete in themselves and may best meet the needs of some students.
The programs are specifically designed so that a student may begin in a Certificate
program and later use those courses to proceed to a Master of Arts, a Master
of Divinity, or a Doctor of Ministry degree.
Each degree program is offered
in two formats:
- Program One for college or university graduates with no
previous studies in Bible or theology, and
- Program Two - a "fast-track" for
those who have at least 30 semester hours of college credit in Bible,
theology or church history.
The Biblical Ministry Certificate, Master of Arts (M.A.), and Master of
Divinity (M.Div.) can be completed without relocating. For more information,
please see the AIM track (link).
