Purpose and Faculty


Purpose

The DMin (Leadership) is designed to develop your knowledge, theoretical clarity, and competence in the profession and practice of ministry through life-long learning in leadership. It is a popular option for pastors and church staff persons, as well as among those involved in other organizations.

Required Courses (12 semester hours)
MIN 9431 Spiritual Mentoring
RES 9400 Doctoral Research Methods
RES 9990 Professional Research Project (6)

Elective Courses (18 semester hours)
3 courses from LDR
3 courses from any alpha-designator

Upcoming Required courses:

  • June 13 - 24, 2011 RES 9400 "Doctoral Research Methods" with Dr. Robert Ferris. Note: This course will be capped at 10 students (non-negotiable, no exceptions)! Students who have taken seven (7) courses in their program prior to that time will be eligible to register for RES 9400 and will be given priority. This will also be handled on a "first come" basis. Students who wish to take this course and have less than seven courses completed will be placed on a waiting list, with priority given according to the number of courses completed as well as a "first come basis."
