Purpose and Objectives
The primary purpose of the Humanities program is to assist students as they prepare for graduate study, including
seminary education, by helping them develop a Christian worldview. The objectives of the Humanities program are
as follows:
•
To provide exposure to basic areas of study in philosophy, literature, culture, and language
•
To help students use the Bible as the source of integration for various fields of knowledge
•
To prepare students for further study and education through a broader exposure to general liberal arts
education
•
To assist students in their ability to develop a Christian worldview in the context of our culture
•
To stimulate an interest in various cultures
