Purpose and Objectives
The Associate of Arts with a concentration in Business provides students a solid grounding in essential principles and
practices in business. Many students continue their education by pursuing a Bachelor of Science with a Business Major,
and ultimately a Master of Arts in Business Administration (MBA).
Objectives
Demonstrate basic proficiency in essential business skills
Devise a personal philosophy of business
Understand biblical-based Christian worldview that can be used in business settings
Completion Requirements
A minimum 60 total semester hours of credit
A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA
Completion of a minimum of 15 semester hours of CIU coursework
Completion of a biblical studies core that includes 9 hours of Bible/theology/ministry courses and at least one
additional interdisciplinary Bible-related course
Completion of the 18 hour Business concentration
