Prospective International Students
CIU's motto is "To Know Him and Make Him Known" and this has been the heartbeat of the school since its beginnings in 1923. We are a Biblical University with an accredited college, seminary and graduate school. Our goal is to equip Christian leaders in ministry, missions and the marketplace. We have had the privilege of training many international students throughout the years. Is God asking YOU to step beyond your borders in order to enlarge His?
What's so "international" about Columbia International University?
We are international not because of something we do but because of something we are.
- Our international students are from diverse backgrounds. Countries represented in years past include: Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Honduras, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Brazil, England, Germany, Italy, France, Holland, Ukraine, Turkey, Sweden, Norway, Rwanda, Cameroon, Nigeria, Liberia, Morocco, Kenya, Ethiopia, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Pakistan, India, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Australia.
- Our faculty and staff have often spent years living and working cross-culturally. Our faculty and staff have lived for several years or more in over 25 different countries. Several of our faculty members are internationals themselves! This exposure to the world brings a warmth and sensitivity to the specific needs of international students that is often lacking in larger institutions.
- From among our 15,000 living alumni, CIU graduates are currently living and serving in over 130 different countries.
- Our goal is not to have impact in the U.S. alone. Our mission is to educate people from a biblical worldview to impact the nations with the message of Christ. You can be a vital part of helping us achieve that goal!
