Applying for HousingPrior to securing an on-campus room, a student must be accepted to CIU. To request application forms and instructions, contact the Admissions Department. The next step is to fill out the online Housing Placement form located at CIUonline.com. This form provides the Residence Life personnel with your personal preferences and helps as they seek to provide a compatible roommate for you. We ask new students to submit a housing deposit of $100 within 21 days of acceptance. The housing deposit is held on account to reserve resident hall space as long as the student continues living on campus. (CIU Catalog, page 109) Housing Assignment letters notification is made by email through the CIUonline Email address. Notification for the Fall semester is usually mid July. Notification for the Spring semester is usually early January. The Residence Life Office will seek to honor all of your housing requests. However, first preference is given to returning students. |
