General Information
AdmissionChristians who meet basic admissions standards are very welcome to attend as guest students. If you plan to take courses for credit and do not already have transcripts on file at CIU, you must provide them to the Seminary/Graduate School Admissions Office. In order to receive a CIU transcript, you must have submitted official transcripts from the school where you completed your highest level of education. NOTE: Some courses close registration early - those courses will be noted.Course LoadStudents may take no more than one three-hour course or two two-hour courses per week. Auditing CoursesMost courses may be audited for a fee of $75 per semester hour (available as space permits) plus a $25 registration fee. Tuition (per semester hour)*Plus a $25 non-refundable registration fee.Undergrad: $475 per semester hour. Grad: $425 per semester hour. Seminary: $400 per semester hour. Dress CodeMen wear sport/dress shirts with slacks or jeans which are neat and modest. Women wear skirts/dresses no more than 2 inches above the knee or wear slacks/jeans which are neat and modest. ChapelFaculty and students meet for chapel Tuesday-Thursday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. A highlight of community life, chapel services feature worship, fellowship, and inspirational messages from guest and resident faculty members. Resources and FacilitiesComputers with a wide range of software for research, word processing, and other applications are available in the Computer Lab of the Joy Ridderhof Center. Our G. Allen Fleece Library has over 100,000 volumes available in print and media for student use, as well as over 400 journals and back issues fo over 1000 journal titles. Copy machines are available on the Library premises for patron use. A fax machine, located in the Administration Building, is available for use at a nominal fee. The CIU fax number is 803-786-4209. Long distance calling is available with a credit or calling card only (you must bring your own phone). The Post Office is located on the lower level of the Rossi Student Center. Post Office hours are normally 12:45-3:00pm Monday through Friday. LocationTake I-20 to Exit 68, turn north on Monticello Road (Hwy SC215) and go two miles.
