Visit Options

If you're looking for a school that will prepare you to make a world-changing impact, God may be calling you to CIU. There are several ways you can visit campus, so find the option that works best for you and sign up! We're looking forward to having you on campus soon!

1Visit Days

Come and experience CIU during one of our group visit days. During these special visit days you'll get to tour CIU's beautiful campus, sit in on class, connect with professors and students in your area of interest, interact with other sudents, and participate in a chapel service. Representatives from admissions, student financial services, and residence life will be available to meet and give you information about life at CIU. If these dates don't fit into your schedule, please let us know and we'll schedule a personal visit catered to your interests.

1Individualized Campus Visits

Academic-Year Visitors

The admissions office is open Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.

Visit CIU!We recommend visiting Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday during the academic year as these days offer more class and chapel options. We'll treat you and your guests to lunch on the day of your visit. A traditional visit (including all the below activities) lasts from 9:00AM to 3:00PM, but we will work with your schedule if you are unable to visit during these times.

During your visit, you can:

  • Take a Campus Tour
  • Meet with an Admissions Counselor
  • Talk with a Student Financial Services representative
  • Participate in our chapel service
  • Sit in on a class that applies to your area of study (with at least one week notice of your visit)
  • Meet with a professor in a program that interests you (with at least one week notice of your visit)

Take a tour!For single visitors, our Campus Visit Coordinator can also arrange overnight housing in the residence halls or grad houses with one of our student hosts for one night (bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, toiletries, etc). If you would like to schedule an overnight stay, please schedule your visit at least two weeks prior to your visit. CIU also provides complimentary airport/bus pickup within Columbia; please provide the details of your arrival/departure to our Campus Visit Coordinator two weeks prior to your campus visit.

We will make every effort to accommodate those with special needs or food allergies. If accommodations are needed, please schedule your visit at least 30 days in advance to allow time to collect proper documentation and make the necessary arrangements.

Summer Visitors

Columbia International University welcomes visitors year-round. Summer visitors are welcome for a campus tour and meetings with admissions and student financial services. Other appointments may be available on a limited basis from May through August.

1Virtual Tour

The Virtual Campus Tour is an interactive tool that helps you see 360 degree photographs of many key points on our campus. Simply click on a circle on the campus map, or click on a listing to the right. This will open up a window which will display the photo and a small description of what you are looking at. Click on the photo itself and you can use your mouse to rotate the view around to any point within a 360 degree circle.
