Cliff is an urban person-the two great cities in his life have been New York and Manila. His bent toward teaching was not immediately apparent to him but something that developed in the midst of a busy missionary career in the Philippines, something that was honed at Febias College of Bible and Asian Theological Seminary. The pursuit of truth is his enthusiasm, and the love of sharing that truth is the focusing power of his life. His interests lie in the background, language, and content of the New Testament and in communication across cultural boundaries. Family is another passion-he and his wife Prue have five married children and seventeen grandchildren. His hobbies include canoeing and swimming.
