Athletic Facilities
CIU has a new fitness center/gym on campus. For Winter students who have not paid an activity fee the fee is $5.00 for an individual visit or $10.00 for weekly use of the gym. Hours are posted at the center. For more information, go to www.ciu.edu/studentlife/athletics .
Admission
Christians who meet basic admissions standards are welcome to attend as guest students. Please use the on-line registration form to register. If you plan to take courses "for credit," you must have all secondary and post-secondary transcripts sent from your previous school to the Admissions Office. You will not receive credit for courses unless we receive your transcripts.
Transportation and Accommodations
Winter Studies students arrange their own transportation and accommodations. On campus housing is not available this year. You are free to stay with friends, select your own hotel, or choose from our list of area hotels. Note that rates are not guaranteed; contact individual motel for confirmation. Students arriving by air should plan to rent a car or take a taxi from the airport to their hotel. CIU is unable to provide airport shuttle service.
Welcome and Orientation
A “Welcome Orientation” will be held each Monday during the Chapel time, so students should go directly to the classroom on Monday morning. Classes begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. each day.
Meals
Because the College will be in Spring classes, the Cafeteria will be serving all three meals each day, and the costs are as follows: Breakfast $3.50; Lunch $4.25; Dinner $5.00. Further information on hours of operation will be available at Orientation.
Students are encouraged to purchase a meal card at the beginning of the week, and save 10% off of the cost of purchasing individual meals.
Registration
Some classes require early registration (see course description for details). However, all students are strongly encouraged to register by early December in order to avoid problems with closed classes, lack of textbooks, or missing forms. Use the on-line registration form on our website. Keep in mind that the entire CIU campus is closed from December 24 through December 31 for the Christmas holiday, so early registration is essential. Also, most syllabi will not be availble until mid-October at the earliest.
Payment
Tuition and fees are due in full by 4:00 p.m. on the first day of class. Fee statements will be available for you in the orientation meeting on Monday morning, and payment may be made during break times or during lunch time.
Tuition and Fees
GRAD Courses: $455 per semester hour, plus $30 registration fee.
SEMINARY Courses: $415 per semester hour, plus $30 registration fee.
Auditing Courses
Most courses may be audited for a fee of $75 per semester hour (available as space permits) plus a $30 registration fee. Please contact the registrar's office at registrar@ciu.edu with any questions or concerns. Students auditing seminary or grad school courses must hold at least a Bachelor's degree.
Academic Information
Course materials are available only to enrolled students.
Instructor permission is required for taping of classes, and then for personal use only.
Textbooks and supplies may be purchased at the Bookstore in the Rossi Student Center.
Course locations are posted on building outer doors. Ask for help if you need directions. Course schedules or classroom assignments are subject to change. Be sure you register early so that the Registrar may contact you in the event of a change.

Go to the Security office in Walker Hall to receive a yellow Temporary Parking decal, which must be displayed while you are on campus. You will then be able to park in any student parking spaces. Please avoid marked parking spaces reserved for faculty, staff, and administrators.
